I graduated High in 1977, so that is the highlight of my life in the 70′s.

Everything in life, when you are young, leads up to your high year, high school prom, and graduation.

Sadly 10 years later, you actually get excited about your 10 year class reunion. I was pregnant with my 3rd child on my 10th year class reunion, but it was a great time. Lots can happen in 10 years.

I like to reminisce about the music, tv shows, and movies that were popular in my Senior year.

This week of October 1977, this is the top music, tv shows and movies.

Music popular the Last Week Of October

Fleetwood Mac
the top of the Album chart with,
“Rumours”

Barry White
the #1 position on the R&B chart with,
“It’s Ectasy When You Lay Down Next To Me”

Debby Boone
#1 on the Pop chart with,
“You Light Up My Life”.

Television Shows Popular in 1977

Alice

All in the Family

Charlie’s Angels

Happy Days

Lavern and Shirley

Little House on the Prairie

Mash

One Day at a Time

Three’s Company

60 Minutes

Top Movies of 1977

Star Wars was a phenomenon setting an all-time box office record with $127M.

Annie Hall won big at the Oscars including the Best Picture award

Close Encounters of the Third Kind missed out on some Oscars because it had the misfortune of being released the same year as Star Wars.
